Cold Weather Freezes and how we can help!

When it gets a cold as its been in the South over the last few weeks many people don't realise the potential for serious water damage in their homes.

When you have un-insulated or exposed water pipes, especially when they aren't use regularly, constant below zero temps will cause a build up of ice inside the pipes. Eventually water pressure will cause the pipes to become fully frozen.

The real problems begin when the temps rise and the ice starts to thaw. Expanding water and pressure cause huge amounts of stress on the pipes and more often than not they will rupture and the water will run until its turned off at the main shut off.

This is of course, a worst case scenario, but if you find yourself in the situation of water throughout your home, there are ways we can help.

Firstly, the problem that caused the issue needs to be repaired, a plumber may be required for that.
Then, we can remove the standing water form the affected area's and begin to dry the structure, carpet and contents if necessary.

We understand that these kinds of situations can be very stressful to the homeowner, we are sensitive to that, but we can give you peace of mind and have you back to pre-loss condition within days in most cases.

This work should always be left to professionals and we are certified be the IICRC so you can be sure that you are getting the service that's required.
